+----------------------------------------------------------+ proc-records.net +artist_-_Shokushu +album_-_Clouded,_Crowned,_Conquered. +cat#_-_[proc462] +year_-_2012 +bitrate_-_30kbps,MP3 +----------------------------------------------------------+ adding a new element of sound to the proc-rec roster, Yannick Houle, better known musically as Shokushu, sent this wonderful little ep over to proc for the world to enjoy, and now is your chance! hailing from the wonderful country of Canada, more specifically Montreal, this musical mastermind of ambience has recently embarked on a more upbeat approach to music, and has combined his skills with both styles quite well! intense rhythm segments coincide with lucious ambient textures, allowing you to float effortlessly on a cloud of sound, taking you to various mental landscapes. However, his more experimental side is still quite apparent on this album, especially with tracks like scrambled memories where he lets go of the reigns and allows his music to be more liquid and follow it's own inclinations. this is a perfect introductory release from such a fine artist, although he is by no means a new-comer to the scene. he already has a pair of releases with the wonderful sirona-rec and another release on the netlabel "less ego more noise". I've not heard them as of yet, but if they're anything like this release, I'm certain they're worth the download!!! grab this one and throw it on your portable media device! :D Shokushu_-_Clouded,_Crowned,_Conquered.

+----------------------------------------------------------+ proc-records.net +artist_-_Qygen +album_-_Celestial_Hyperspeed +cat#_-_[proc461] +year_-_2012 +bitrate_-_320kbps,MP3 +----------------------------------------------------------+ Don't really need to explain this album too much. It's Qygen, the madman from Seattle who's trance-techno music has completely changed my initial preconceptions of the genre. As someone who appreciates all styles of electronica, I had been let down many many times by artists who simply could not properly make the trance that would get me moving, let alone make me want to listen to it more than once!! Maybe it's just because he's on my label that get's me so pumped, but one thing is for sure, I definitely am, and new music from Eric is always something to be appreciative of. while nothing of his has ever quite compared to his 5th album on proc, Enchanted, (http://proc-records.net/upload_music/%5Bproc344%5DQygen_-_Enchanted.zip) this album, which runs for almost an hour and a half comes dangerously close in my opinion. If you're someone who is still a little uncertain whether or not trance is a genre that you think you could ever love like you do with a different style, give qygen a try, and prepare to have your mind changed for you! sorry for the delay with music! NOISE WILL BE NOISE!!! Qygen_-_Celestial_Hyperspeed

c4 has been
a project I've
enjoyed doing
for a long, long time.
It was the first alias
I ever remember
using for the piss-poor
excuse of music many
years ago back in high
school, and I carried
it on though much of
my mid-twenties.
After some time, I
allowed the project
to go into retirement
and focus more on
Graffiti Mechanism.
This soon became
an issue as I felt
it was losing
it's identity
through sheer
over-usage
and a lack of
crucial definement.

I have since brought
c4 back and have
been using it regularly
to devote myself to
the acid-techno genre,
hoping to once again
make c4 an alias that
people can relate
to and appreciate as
a project which suits
a particular need.

At any rate,
over the years,
I generated a lot
of music that for
one reason or
another was never
released and instead
lyed dormant
on hard-drives or
flash-drives.
This is one such album.
originally intended to
accompany the
first transient release
of the series, released
on abulia concepts back
in 2008, this album
was accepted though
never released.
Upon re-discovering
it, I decided to
allow my own label,
proc, to release it
and hopefully allow
it to recieve some attention.

Based around
the concept of
a simple loop,
these pieces
are intended to be
played individually,
as opposed
to traditional albums
which are listened
to as a whole.
the listener can choose
to play these
extended-run
loops for as long
as they desire, although
I admit that this
concept can quickly
become tedious and
boring, I still very
much enjoy
these pieces and
the strong, emotional
memories which
are attached to them.

so yeah, hopefully
you can appreciate
this album for what it is.
If not, that's okay.
I still think you're awesome :)

stay strong and positive.

In August of
2007, proc-rec
hit the www
and officially
became a
netlabel with
it's first release
from a duo
known as BIOC.
the duo,
whose members
were none
other than
mathias aeschlimann,
the head of
the infamous
20kbps records,
and his
good friend
Johnny Sleeper,
both of whom
are sound
geniouses in
their own right.
Now, nearly six
years later,
proc is
happy to host
their second
collaborative
work as bioc
with their album
"Roman Numbering"

Once again
themed and
named around counting
and digits, this
DIGITal release
is much more
minimal and
calmer than
it's counterpart.
While quite
similar in style
and structure, this
release is
less dark
and secluded, with
an emphasis on
spacious sound-scapes
leaving you
feeling as though
you were floating
high above a forest
late at night, with
campfire smoke
filling your nostrils
with the
wonderful scent
of original serenity.
An all-together
interesting
release, I've found
myself returning to it
many times
and forcing
myself to search
for flaws
or something
that could have
been perfected, but alas,
no such things could
occur.
it's just great
evening and
coffee music
and should
be treated
as an album of
crucial importance
for those who
have been searching
for something
new and original.

unplug the phone,
turn out the lights,
strap on some
headphones and
sit in your
favorite chair,
because this one
is going to absorb
you a little while.

after over a half-decade
of waiting, part two
of this wonderful
project is FINALLY
available to the public!

THIS is proc....

+----------------------------------------------------------+

In keeping with
the current inertia
of proc's recent
revival, and due
partially to a brief
transition of available
time, I decided
to get another
wonderful release
out to the world that
had been criminally
sitting on my hard-drive.

Coming out from
the shadows of
the deep-underground,
Carfil, a long-time
contributer of
the netlabel
movement and
fellow member
of the proc-rec
family decided
to allow his newest
excursion into the
realm of audio-brilliance
to be released
on my label!

A quartet of brief
but highly impactive
pieces are what you'll
find on this release.
Built and living around
basic rhythm sections
which allow the tracks
to move forward, the
slightly distorted,
delay-ridden melodic
structures add an
element of dynamic
to these pieces, notably
within the first moment
of the opening piece,
and also within much of
the third track.

Carfil is a skilled
musician, and
his equipment list
which is comprised of
a few hand-held devices
only strengthens this fact.
Finding impressive ways
of turning the ordinary
into something with
character and soul
is what he does best.

Fans of carfil
are sure to
thoroughly enjoy
this latest release,
although it sould be
mentioned that
this release gives
way to his more
experimental side
and shows him
attempting things
which I personally
have not heard
him do on any
past proc-rec
releases.

If you're not
going anywhere
for about 15 minutes,
sit down and get
aquainted with this one :)

ah jeez, let's see if
I still remember
how to do this...lol

I'm terribly sorry
about the
delays within
the musical-releasing
timeframe, although
as with all past proc
releases, this bad boy
was WELL worth th wait!!

coming to you from
two men whom I have
infinite amounts of
respect for, Consistency Nature
and Rainbow Valley
have teamed up for
the first time on proc-rec
to bring to the world
some wonderful
ambient textures, done
so exquisitely
and with such amazing
execution, it makes me
wonder how this
generation could ever
go a day without hearing
such fine experimental
ambient audio.

Both men approach
the genre with
their own tactful purpose,
adding to their
low-fi pieces a signiture
sound which is uniquely
their own.
Rainbow Valley
with his slow, deliberate
layering and build-up of
orchestral meloncholy,
and CN with his
epic droning backdrops,
filling in the moments
of brief silence with
epic static outbursts
and global collective
sighs of contentment.

yep, it's one of
THOSE albums.
a classic by every
stretch of the imagination,
and one that sets the
bar high for what proc
hopes to prove
to the mainstream
media.
I figured, since proc
is back, why not
remind the underground
what it's really all about.
great music.
plain and simple.

noise will be noise.
